U.S. Stocks Rise for Fifth Day After Durable Goods, Job Reports (Bloomberg)

Dec. 24 (Bloomberg) — U.S. stocks rose, sending the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index to a 15-month high, as initial jobless claims fell more than forecast and orders for durable goods excluding transportation topped economists’ estimates.
